Behavior Technician

We are a provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in Maryland. We provide home based ABA therapy to families from underserved groups, focusing in the Latino Community.

** we will help you getting credentialed as a Registered Behavior Technician and you can get compensated for the training**

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in psychology, social work, special education, child development
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Spanish is highly preferred

Job Type: Part-time (15 - 25 hours per week)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

The Behavior Technician is responsible for developing, implementing and enhancing behavioral intervention plans and ensuring that clients are receiving appropriate care. The ideal candidate will also be able to create relationships with patients and families through effective communication, effective observation techniques, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one behavioral therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify treatment plans
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and assessments
- Support individuals in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
- Utilize evidence-based behavioral techniques to promote positive behavior change
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation

Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices
- Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and techniques
- Ability to conduct patient assessments and monitor progress
- Understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral therapy
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients, families, and team members
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
