Statewide Migrant Education Recruitment Supervisor
Hybrid schedule consisting of remote and in-the-office located in Camp Hill, PA
The Center for Schools & Communities (CSC), a statewide education, training and technical assistance organization, is seeking qualified candidates for this full time position. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of statewide activities related to the recruitment of migrant children and their families as well as statewide projects such as Identification and Recruitment Consortium (IDRC). These activities include arranging and providing training to all recruiters at both the project area and state levels and representing Pennsylvania’s recruitment efforts at local, state and national functions. The Migrant Education Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for creating cross program collaborations among all projects under the direction of the appropriate manager. In general, eighty percent (80%) of the Supervisor’s time will be spent on recruitment and twenty percent (20%) on other statewide projects. The anticipated start date is January 16, 2025.

Salary: $61,500 – 67,500 dependent on qualifications. This is an exempt position working a 260 day per year, 12-month work schedule. This full-time position follows a regular Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week) work schedule with the opportunity to allow a hybrid work schedule consisting of three (3) days in-office work at the Center for Schools and Communities office located in Camp Hill, PA location and two (2) days telework from home and/or approved off-site locations. In addition, face-to-face interaction with clients, meetings and trainings may be required on days deemed as teleworking days. Certain requirements, based upon CSIU telework policy and administrative regulations, must be met. The CSIU has the right to cancel or suspend the employee teleworking privileges at any time, for any or no reason due to the requirement of the CSIU and client needs.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum requirements are a Master’s Degree in education, social sciences or a related field with five (5) years’ migrant related work experience; Or a Bachelor's Degree in education, social sciences or a related field and minimum ten years’ work experience within migrant related programs.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple activities is required.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients both internal and external including the Division of Migrant Education, migrant project areas and Center for Schools and Communities (CSC) staff.
- Knowledge and experience working with migrant parents and children is required.
- Knowledge of the eligibility requirements for migrant education is required.
- Experience in program planning and development is required.
- General understanding of program evaluation methodologies is required.
- Experience with work involving children, adolescents and families is required.
- Experience in word processing and spreadsheet processing is required.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and public speaking experience is required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Knowledge of the state and federal Migrant Education guidelines including the federal non-regulatory guidance.
- Ability to function effectively in multicultural settings is required.
