Junior AI/ML Engineer Intern

Position Overview:
We are seeking an Junior AI/ML Engineer Intern to join our technical team and assist in enhancing our platform with cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for an aspiring AI/ML developer to gain hands-on experience while contributing to a social cause, applying your skills to improve the lives of vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in AI/ML Model Development:
Support the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning models that improve the functionality of the HUMAX platform. This includes assisting with data collection, data preprocessing, model selection, and performance evaluation.

Algorithm Implementation:
Help implement and test machine learning algorithms, including natural language processing (NLP), recommendation systems, and predictive models, to improve user experience and personalization of services.

Data Analysis:
Assist in analyzing large datasets to derive insights and patterns that will inform AI-driven features and enhance platform capabilities.

Model Optimization:
Work on optimizing machine learning models for speed, scalability, and accuracy. Perform data cleaning, model tuning, and iterative improvements.

Collaboration:
Collaborate with senior developers and data scientists to integrate AI solutions into the platform, providing technical support and input during design and implementation phases.

Documentation:
Document development processes, methodologies, and code to ensure clarity for future team members and to support model reproducibility.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.

Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Proficiency in Python, with knowledge of data manipulation libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib.

Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms, data preprocessing, and model evaluation.

Strong problem-solving abilities and an eagerness to learn.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.

Passion for applying AI and machine learning to make a social impact and contribute to a nonprofit mission.
