HR Operations Intern

Position Overview:
CSA is seeking an HR Operations Coordinator Intern to manage and support volunteer and intern relations. In this role, you will focus on fostering a positive experience for all volunteers and interns, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and supported throughout their time with CSA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about volunteer and intern management, have excellent communication skills, and be committed to helping others succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer and Intern Onboarding:
Manage the onboarding process for new volunteers and interns, ensuring they understand CSA’s mission, values, and expectations. Provide them with the necessary training, resources, and materials to start their roles effectively.
HR Operations Support:
Help manage essential HR tasks such as maintaining accurate records for volunteers and interns, tracking hours, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Assist with developing and updating HR documentation.
Employee Engagement:
Help implement employee engagement initiatives for volunteers and interns to ensure high morale and retention. Organize and support team-building activities, workshops, and recognition events.
Recruitment & Retention:
Collaborate with CSA’s leadership team to develop and execute strategies for recruiting volunteers and interns who align with CSA’s mission. Work to ensure a positive experience for new recruits and improve retention rates.
HR Communications:
Serve as a point of contact for HR-related queries, providing guidance and support to volunteers and interns as needed. Communicate clearly about CSA’s HR policies and procedures.
HR Process Improvement:
Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to HR operations, making the processes more efficient and effective for all team members. Help streamline the volunteer and intern management processes, making it easier to onboard and engage new members.
Qualifications:
Strong interest in volunteer management, intern relations, or human resources.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
Ability to build relationships with diverse groups and foster a supportive environment.
Experience in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for nonprofit work.
Previous experience managing or coordinating volunteers or interns is a plus but not required.

Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time)
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
