Natural Resource Specialist

As a Natural Resource Specialist with NRCS, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting supervisors and lead specialists with conducting long and short-term scientific studies and investigations on the use of soils, water, vegetation, wildlife, and other natural resources as part of state land management and natural resources programs.
- Assisting the District Conservationist with coordinating, surveys, performing monitoring, compiling and analyzing biological data, and preparing reports using statistical inference.
- Assisting in the development, coordination, initiation, and management of recreational programs including: preparing regulations; letters of instruction and news releases; and collecting population and biological data.
- Providing input to leadership on balancing competing public and private goals for recreational land development, commercial development, and natural resource preservation.
