Data Analyst
The Data Analyst will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, new client data acquisition, spreadsheeting proposals, and other assigned responsibilities related to client management. This requires significant cooperation with internal and external parties including Benefit Advisors, Account Executives, Vendor Partners, and Client Executives.
The Data Analyst will be expected to maintain a high level of integrity, accuracy, and knowledge of client data. This position will play a key role in maintaining client relationships and Bim Group’s excellence within our industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage multiple vendor and client relationships to meet project deadlines
- Communicate key financial metrics in a clear and effective manner
- Assist the Account Services team with the renewal process as it relates to obtaining renewals, RFP market analysis, and spreadsheet proposals
- Obtain data from clients to quote renewal or new business
- Update and maintain the agency’s CRM system (Brokerage Builder) and Client Filing system (E: drive) for new and existing clients
- Utilize actuarial software to forecast claims and utilization
- Develop funding arrangements to ensure appropriate budget and premium collection
- Design/Create client exhibits to include benchmarking, payroll deduction analyses, and factor pages to effectively communicate key plan metrics to clients, executives, and management
- Specialization in self-funded exhibits/analyses for client presentation
- Assist with group billing reconciliation/research
- Total compensation reporting
- Monthly entry of claims data and generation of financial reports for presentation
- Maintain the integrity of reporting and other multifaceted data sets
- Stay aware of new developments or changes with the various carriers and new Federal/State laws that may affect how our clients must administer their benefit programs
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with each insurance carrier to further satisfy client and departmental needs
- Attend and timely complete any training sessions or assignments as required
- Adhere to the strictest standards related to confidentiality / complete necessary annual HIPAA and Corporate Compliance training of Bim Group and its existing and future clients
- Receive direction from multiple internal and external associates
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in business analytics, management, or marketing, with a preferred degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or accounting
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Possess communication skills necessary to communicate with clients, vendors, and prospects regarding financial strategies
- Must have demonstrated intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Candidates with knowledge of SQL, PowerPivot, medical terminology, medical coding systems; ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT4, NDC, or prior insurance experience will be given preference
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and self-motivated
