The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity in Colville, WA. We are seeking a Receptionist (Office Assistant 3) to serve as the primary front desk receptionist at the Northeast Region Headquarters Office. The receptionist position will provide a unique opportunity to learn about all the programs that make up our dynamic DNR workforce.

The person we are looking to fill this important role will have the ability to practice compassionate communication with all external and internal partners, have excellent customer service skills, and have the ability to work as a contributing member of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a great customer service experience
  • Provide office support on projects
  • Respond to inquiries by telephone, in person, and writing
  • Answer incoming calls using a multi-line telephone system
  • Distribute incoming/outgoing mail
  • Manage office supply inventory
  • Accurately input data into reporting software
  • Resolve problems and respond to inquiries regarding rules, regulations, policies, department procedures, and department services

Required Qualifications: 
 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficient in using software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe products.
  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.

  • Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.
