Project Management Internship
EverGlade is seeking two (2) interns for the summer of 2025. Interns will be assigned to a role in either pre-award focused project management (government proposals and pre-award strategy) OR post-award focused project management (project management for clients that are under a contract with the US Government).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- General
- Sitting in and observing client calls as related to technical and project management work
- Acting as a scribe (note taker) and action tracker in meetings as needed
- Assisting in preparing slide decks/agendas for meetings as requested by manager
- Ability to work well and communicate with client staff to acquire necessary information to prepare and achieve contract requirements and deliverables
- Pre-Award
- Assisting with setting up templates for client use including but not limited to Concept Papers/Presentations, White Papers, and Full Proposals to government agencies
- Observing and contributing to document preparation discussions (including technical approach, scope of work, value proposition, and strategic messaging/positioning)
- Reviewing of requests for proposals (RFPs), government broad agency announcements (BAAs), and other solicitations to ensure compliance to requirements and strategic positioning
- Post Award
- Supporting the project management function on research and development (R&D) programs for medical countermeasures being funded by the U.S. Government
- Assisting with setting up templates for client use including but not limited to Monthly Reports, Annual Reports, Project Management Plans, and Communication Plans
- Assisting with content for Monthly Reports, Annual Reports, and Monthly US Government Meetings
- Coordination and scheduling of client-internal and client-US Government meetings as required
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of Action Logs /Issue Logs, Progress Reporting, Meeting Minutes with oversight from manager
By end of program, this intern will be capable of:
- General
- Understanding the US Government agency landscape for life sciences or technology
- Communicating and working with interdisciplinary teams
- Pre-Award
- Searching and interpreting government BAAs and other solicitations
- Establishing and setting up a template based on solicitation requirements
- Creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Statement of Work (SOW)
- Strategic messaging that aligns to specific audiences/government agencies
- Post-Award
- High-level understanding of terms and conditions that are common in US Government R&D contracts
- Understanding US Government contracting monthly and annual cadences
- Creating US Government-acceptable meeting minutes
- Strategic messaging that aligns with the best interests of the client, US Government, and EverGlade
Required Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical writing skills (ability to review scientific information and adapt to various audiences)
- Notable analytical/problem solving skills
- High levels of experience using Microsoft Office
- Capability of working through complex problems independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to keep track of/perform multiple workstreams in parallel
- Background in a scientific field of study (life sciences or AI/ML/technology preferred)
Internship Details:
- Flexible working hours
- 100% virtual (laptop provided)
- Industrious Office Access may be available, but in-office presence is not required
- Hourly Position: $25/hour
- Maximum of 40 hours a week
