SIP 2025 - Office Assistant Intern (District location) at Tri-C Government Relations and Community Outreach

The Office of Government Relations & Community Outreach provides College-wide leadership and coordination for all local, state and federal legislation in support of the mission of Cuyahoga Community College. In collaboration with other Tri-C partners and volunteers, the department also provides coordination of community events including Tri-C Speakers Bureau engagements, the College's annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day observation, Tri-C Ambassador Appreciation Reception, and the Advisory Committees Appreciation Breakfast.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

We are looking for a self-motivated student who is eager to participate in a variety of different projects that will assist us in our day-to-day operations. Some of these projects may include:

  • Audit various databases for elected officials on the local, state, and federal level
  • Assist with inventory monitoring
  • Organize and update inventory for college promotional items
  • Update quarterly newsletter database
  • Update mailing lists for various college events
  • Assist with various office tasks such as filing
  • Assist with voting project 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and understanding of Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.), average understanding is fine
  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to work independently - self-motivated
  • Good at multi-tasking
  • Detail-oriented 
  • able to lift 20 lbs

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
