As an Operations Manager within the Division of Women, Children & Nursing/Women's Health at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Job Responsibilities
The Operations Manager supports the Maternal Programs team in the Office of Women’s Health in multiple capacities. The Operations Manager supports the work of the Maternal Mortality Review Committee, including overseeing the process to obtain records and providing operations support for the committee members and meetings. The Operations Manager will also provide support for data management with the Maternal Health ECHO program. This position requires a high level of organizational skills, integrity, and initiative.
- Lead effort to obtain records, including medical records, for the Maternal Mortality Review Committee
- Manage process to monitor and track record requests
- Coordinate with Maternal Mortality Review Committee Abstractors to identify records and other sources of information needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain protection and confidentiality of patient data
- Provide operations support for the committee meetings, including assisting with planning and providing logistics for committee meetings
- Evaluate and manage data for the Maternal Health ECHO program
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field which includes four (4) years in a managerial or supervisory role;
OR
Eight (8) years of related professional experience which includes four (4) years in a managerial or supervisory role;
OR
Four (4) years of experience required at the lower level Mgr 2, Business Ops (GSM011) or position equivalent.
Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
