Mechanical Engineering Intern

Mechanical Engineering Intern

Looking for a Mechanical or Manufacturing focused student who will work with Senior level Engineers in the building, testing, and evaluation of RF microwave components, designing fixtures for Assy and Test for production engineering.  Candidate will have some hands-on background in PCB building, fabrication, and testing, understand machining techniques, and some exposure to microwave principles.  Will be involved in short term projects involving use of 3D printer.  High level of organizational skill ideal.

Qualifications:
 

  • Minimum Junior grade level
     
  • SolidWorks preferred, AutoCAD acceptable
     
  • Additive Manufacturing experience desired.
     
  • Experience using machine shop tools very useful.
     
  • Able to work independently with limited direction given.
     
  • Familiar with material properties and selection process.
     
  • Ansys or other simulation software background useful
     
  • RF/Microwave and electrical circuit theory classwork helpful
     
  • PCB fabrication background useful but not necessary.
     
  • Eager to learn and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
