Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack (CEMA) NH Contracts Intern Summer 2025
Business Area Description: CEMA supports the next-generation of threat detection, countermeasure, and attack solutions to provide customers with full-spectrum electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability. Within the CEMA portfolio is the Integrated Survivability Solutions (ISS) product line. This line is comprised of industry leading Electro Optical/Infra/Red and RF technologies to advance multi-platform detection, tracking and defeat of incoming threats to support aircraft, ground vehicle, and maritime survivability.
The Internship Program:
The Contracts Summer Internship Program is a 10-week program that offers participants a unique and exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience within a global defense & commercial contractor. Interns will experience challenging work assignments as well as comprehensive training and mentoring opportunities. Each intern will have the ability to interact with senior/executive level leadership through networking events, one-on-one meetings, and the end of term group project. At the end of the summer, interns will be given the opportunity to interview for BAE Systems’ Contracts Leadership Development Program in a full-time permanent role, or other entry level positions.
In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems’ nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.
Contracts Interns will participate in a six-week group project consisting of:

- Presentation training
- Training on the various systems used within the contracts organization

- Simulated proposal process
- Simulated customer negotiations
- Final presentation on the project to senior management
As a Contracts intern you will support senior contracts administrators in:
- Proposal preparation, contract negotiations, fact finding, contract analysis and administration, and / or Government audit activities
- Assisting with the execution of contracts and working with contract customers, which include the U.S. Government, Commercial and / or International Customers, and Prime U.S. Government Contractors
- Conducting contract closeouts by collaborating with other program functions to ensure the closeout process is complete
- Reviewing contract modifications and administering contract change notices and special sales orders in Oracle
- Customer communication via email and/or formal letters
- Scheduling and reporting deliveries
- Assist preparing Proprietary Information Agreements (PIA).
- Weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports, as required by the Business Area
- Compiling and maintaining contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and company policies

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Position Prerequisites:
- College Junior with a Business or Liberal Arts major (Graduating in Dec. 2025 thru May 2026)
- Ability to work for at least ten consecutive weeks during the summer
- Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
- Required Start Date: June 2nd, 2025
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $42570 - $57420
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
