What You'll Do

As the Digital Experience and Web Administration Specialist, you will join our creative and collaborative Marketing and Communications team. You will manage the design and maintenance of the school's website and digital properties, with a focus on user experience, functionality, performance, and accessibility. This is more than a technical position; it's an opportunity to be a digital storyteller. You'll collaborate with researchers, faculty, and marketing professionals to translate complex public health innovations into compelling digital experiences for global audiences. You will report to the Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

Salary Information: The posting range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs.

Responsibilities*

Web Solution Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain web-based solutions across multiple platforms, including external websites, microsites, intranets, and web applications.
  • Apply expertise in web technologies, graphics applications, and design to create compliant, visually compelling, and functional digital experiences.
  • Manage and improve the school's digital portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Be a primary contact for internal departments and external vendors for web-related projects.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team members to define, implement, and refine online projects and initiatives.
  • Provide strategic input to leadership on web operations, infrastructure, and service improvements.

Technical Support and User Enablement

  • Implement UX design best practices to create intuitive, accessible, and secure web experiences.
  • Develop user training materials, documentation, and tutorials to support digital tool adoption.
  • Provide technical support to staff and faculty, helping them use web technologies effectively.
  • Troubleshoot functionality issues and work with web hosting providers to ensure website reliability.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement 

  • Independently analyze, select, and implement design and functionality options.
  • Support important programs through web technology solutions.
  • Adapt to evolving digital technologies, trends, and organizational needs.
  • Foster a culture of problem-solving, change management, and technological innovation.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2+ of experience in web administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Knowledge of web markup and scripting languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP), content management systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress), web database management (e.g., MySQL), web hosting platforms, user experience (UX) design principles, web and digital accessibility standards.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues related to web hosting, server configurations, or content delivery.
  • Experience implementing web solutions to enhance user experiences and meet business goals.
  • Full-cycle web project management experience.
  • Experience coordinating with internal and external partners.

Modes of Work
