Food Safety / Quality Assurance Assistant

As the Food Safety / Quality Assurance Assistant, you’ll be the go-to, multi-tasking support for the Quality Assurance (QA) and Sanitation (which falls under QA) teams, assisting in document management and overall task management to ensure our food products meet the highest standards. This role will involve hands-on tasks in the production area, as well as administrative duties. 

 

Responsibilities Include: 

Execute quality assurance and sanitation tasks related to organization and program management, coordinating with the FSQA Manager. 

Develop documentation and SOPs for quality and sanitation as needed for certifications, product specifications, and quality food safety programs. 

Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

At least one year of experience in food production, quality, or a similar hands-on support role. 

Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and a strong communicator who can multitask efficiently. 

Basic knowledge of food safety standards (like HACCP and GMP). 

Basic knowledge of food safety principles and willingness to learn regulatory requirements like CFR and GFSI. 

Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and able to learn QA software. 

Friendly and approachable, with a “can-do” attitude—ready to jump into different tasks as needed. 

 

Work Environment: 
This is a dynamic role that will involve both administrative duties and on-the-floor work in a fast-paced production environment. Flexibility, comfort with PPE, and physical stamina for standing or moving through the facility are essential.
