Data Collection Agent with the Department of Defense
Successful candidates will have tenacity, adept verbal communication skills, and a desire to serve the Federal blue-collar workforce in support of our critical pay setting mission.
Responsibilities Include:
- Be part of the travel team that meets with private industry officials throughout the United States and conducts in-person interviews to collect accurate and timely compensation data
- Use persuasive calling skills to outline the participation opportunity of private-sector companies to provide data on which Federal blue-collar pay scales are set
- Research companies ahead of time to gain better understanding of company hierarchy and review previous data provided
- Set your own appointment schedule to meet and collect data in-person from companies (1 - 2 week survey collection period most months)
- Ask strong follow-up questions during interviews to clarify company pay practices
- Work effectively on multiple assignments at the same time
- Thrive in diverse work groups (if you're a people person, this job was made for you!)
- Assist senior staff with increasingly complex data analysis tasks to learn skills desirable for advancement
