Job Title:             Intern: Marketing - Copywriter

Reports To:         Director of Customer Experience

 

SUMMARY: This internship focuses on creating engaging content such as blogs, social media posts, and emails to drive traffic and build brand awareness using SEO strategies. It involves collaboration, analyzing performance metrics, and contributing to impactful projects, with occasional travel required.  A creative, innovative writer will love this marketing opportunity! 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are representative of those required for this position. All of the duties may not be required, and additional duties may be assigned.

  • Assists with research and creates content marketing campaigns to drive leads and subscribers using SEO best practices to generate traffic to our site. 
  • Regularly develops and produces various content types such as email, social media posts and blogs.
  • Collaborates with various departments to develop the most well-rounded, insightful content answering questions consumers search most often. 
  • Analyzes content marketing metrics and recommends changes. 
  • Builds awareness of products and services through content for internal and external customers.
  • Participates in a variety of special projects.
  • Attends and assists with necessary meetings and company functions.
  • Some day-travel and light overnight travel may be associated with certain assignments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Student pursuing a degree in Journalism or Communications. Minimum of one year of college courses completed. Student must be enrolled in college credits during the semester in which the internship occurs, or be enrolled in college credit hours during the following Fall semester.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Creative writing skills are a must.
  • Ability to operate a computer and Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs helpful but not required.
