Events and Communication Assistant
Position Responsibilities
As an Events and Communication Assistant Intern, you will play a vital role in organizing and promoting our diverse range of events. You will work closely with our Events Planning and Communication team to develop marketing strategies and implement initiatives aimed at attracting a broader audience and expanding our activities. This role offers a dynamic environment where each day presents new challenges and learning opportunities.
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, including exhibitions, workshops, concerts, and other artistic endeavors.
Collaborate with the Events Planning and Communication team to develop innovative marketing strategies to promote our events and attract a larger audience.
Contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall experience of our events and engage our community.
Assist in managing communication channels, including social media platforms, email newsletters, and website content, to effectively promote upcoming events and engage with our audience.
Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer experience.
Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to continually improve our event planning and communication strategies.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program or recent graduate.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
Proficiency in Spanish (advanced level)
Passion for the arts and cultural events.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance.
Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.
