Are you a discovery ninja, efficient, and communicative? Do you share our values of respect, supportiveness, and responsiveness?

If so, you might just be Meshke, Paddock & Budzinski’s new paralegal! We have a great team who enjoys working together—so the right person and right fit matters to us! We are looking for someone to begin working immediately.

We are the largest workers’ compensation defense team in the state, and we represent insured and self-insured employers of all sizes in a myriad of public and private industries within the state of Alaska.

This in-office position is located in Anchorage and manages the discovery, drafts basic pleadings, ensures the cases run smoothly, and supports the attorneys in the office as needed.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, and possess strong grammar skills.
  • Ability to maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize and meet deadlines with reliability, honesty, and discretion.
  • A team mindset, and the skills/ability to build constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  • A valid driver’s license with an insured vehicle.

At Meshke, Paddock & Budzinski, we value a work-life balance for all attorneys and staff. Overtime is very rare. Our benefits include firm-paid employee medical and shared dental, as well as vision options, a flexible spending account, matching 401k, life and disability benefits, and generous vacation structure. This is a full-time in-person position in our midtown Anchorage office; although for a successful employee a hybrid option can be discussed after the probationary period. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility in work hours. Pay range is between $35-$40/hr  depending on experience.

To apply for this position please send your resume, a cover letter explaining why you want to work with MP&B, and three (3) professional references to Adam Sadoski asadoski@akwcdefense.com.
