Campaign Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Campaign Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of environmental and peace campaigns. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to our organization's mission by raising awareness, mobilizing public support, and advocating for positive change.
Possible Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of environmental and peace campaigns, including research, planning, and execution of campaign strategies.
- Conduct research on environmental issues, policy initiatives, and relevant stakeholders to inform campaign objectives and messaging.
- Draft campaign materials, including press releases, fact sheets, and social media content, to communicate key messages and engage the public.
- Support outreach efforts to build partnerships and coalitions with like-minded organizations, community groups, and influencers.
- Coordinate logistics for campaign events, demonstrations, and outreach activities, including venue bookings, volunteer recruitment, and materials preparation.
- Monitor media coverage and public discourse related to campaign issues, and provide regular updates to the campaign team.
- Assist in evaluating campaign effectiveness and impact through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Provide administrative support to the campaign team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining databases, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, political science, communications, or related field preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and compelling messages.
- Demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability, peacebuilding, and social justice.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.

On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance.
Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.
