LGBTQ+ Resource Center & Women's Center Graduate Assistant

 

The duties of this full-time graduate assistant position support both the KU Women’s Center and the KU LGBTQ+ Resource Center. This position is designed to meet the needs of both centers day to day activity, student support, advising a student club, overseeing intern projects, with a focus on student engagement, marketing, resources, and assessment. This position is directly supervised by the Director and works as a team player among staff at various levels. The successful candidate must have experience planning, organizing and marketing events through social media and online platforms; be open to understanding the needs of students who identify as women and with the LGBTQ+ community; be comfortable working to serve underrepresented, marginalized groups; be a strong leader among their peers in an environment that requires professionalism, compassion, and flexibility; possess strong communication and interpersonal skills; be characterized as approachable, hard-working, and adaptable.

 

This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours for the Fall and Spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester.  Please contact Christine Price for additional information if needed at price@kutztown.edu.
