Lab Assistant in Paleoceanography

WORK-STUDY PREFERRED

Duration: open-ended

Pay: $17.50/hour 
 

Hours/week: 10-15 depending on availability of preferred candidate

Position description:  

Lab assistant in paleoceanography, working with deep sea sediment and/or coral samples to reconstruct past oceanographic conditions.  30% sediment or coral sample preparation including cleaning and sieving samples;  40%  sample geochemical analyses under close supervision;  15% data analysis;  15% literature research and participation in lab meetings.
 

Position location: in person in the Earth & Marine Sciences building, Ravelo lab (D324)
