Special Education Teacher Assistant
674This position works under the direction of the supervising Special Education teacher, which includes time to evaluate the services provided. There is also sufficient contact between the Special Education teacher and the Special Education assistant to enable the teacher to diagnose educational needs, prescribe teaching and learning procedures and evaluate the effects of teaching. For matters related to a job performance evaluation, contractual requirements, assignments or reassignments, work hours, and lunch, this position reports to the building principal.
Assignment Information:
Madison Elementary School
7:30 am - 3:15 pm (7.25 hours) with a 30 min. duty free lunch
Monday - Friday when school is in session
Qualifications:
• Certification through the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) as a Special Education Program Aide is required. Candidate may obtain certification upon hire.
• Work experience in related field preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality with school and personnel data.
