Budget Analyst
This position is located at a National Park Service unit and is responsible for performing a variety of substantive budgeting functions. The position may be filled at one of the following locations:
- Vancouver, Washington
- Springfield, Oregon
- Ventura, California
- Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Duties
- Assists with all phases of budget and related financial management matters.
- Applies accepted accounting principles in carrying out all transactions affecting the general ledger.
- Assist with formulation and execution of broad financial plans and policies affecting the authorization and use of funds.
- Advise leaders and program managers in budget procedures to help them prepare and execute successful annual budgets.
- Review and analyze financial plans and summaries prepared for comparison of budgets to allowances; determine significant deviations and reasons, and recommends corrective action, where necessary.
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
