NE Resident Services Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for a talented, resourceful, and passionate Resident Services Coordinator that will serve Public Housing family site residents in North and East King County. The goal of this position is to assist residents by providing residents information and referrals to community resources, fostering community engagement and supporting resident stability and independence.
Under the general supervision of the Resident Services Manager, the Resident Services Coordinator will work with residents and act as a liaison between residents, KCHA Property Management and local service agencies. The successful candidate will provide resource and referral services to Public Housing residents and will coordinate community building events and activities to promote resident engagement. This involves outreach on the properties and collaboration with Property Management and outside agencies.
The North and East regions cover a large area of King County. There are several cities and agencies that work with Resident Services and being familiar with and establishing connections to local social service agencies is vital. This position will be based in Shoreline, Kirkland, and other cities on the Eastside, as needed. Flexibility in work location in Kirkland and Shoreline will be based on business need. Some remote work may be authorized after the initial probation period.
An essential function of the work is to maintain client confidentiality and document all resident contact in client software systems including ETO. A successful candidate will be familiar with data entry and documentation.

Essential Functions
The Resident Services Coordinator will:
Work with KCHA staff and Public Housing participants to support resident stability.
Assess resident needs and provide information about and referrals to social services; provide information and connect participants to programs and services that will help participants achieve their goals; help residents apply for and maintain social services and entitlements.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community partners to ensure residents have access to information, services, and assistance for which they qualify, act as a liaison between local community governmental agencies, community councils, individuals and residents.
Coordinate, plan, and implement community events (e.g., summer BBQ, resource fairs, community network meetings and learning workshops), as KCHA policy allows. This requires following KCHA guidelines and VRT policies. Community and partner meetings through Zoom and resident meetings over the phone are an acceptable alternative.
Meet with residents to discuss their situation and help problem solve; assist residents in identifying and resolving challenges and issues.
Participate in the development and implementation of goals, work plans, performance measures, and continuous improvement of service delivery to assist in attaining the program initiatives and goals, agency core strategies, and mission.
Use data tracking software/systems (OnBase, ETO, TenMast and Yardi) to input participant data on a regular basis; access data and verify accuracy of data on a regular basis.
Complete all required paperwork, documentation and maintain participant files per department standards.
Qualifications and Competencies
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with degrees preferred in social work, human services, public administration or related field AND
Considerable experience in social work, government work, housing programs and/or community development programming OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Proficiency with MS Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook. Willingness to learn and utilize database software, including OnBase, ETO, TenMast and Yardi.

Must possess a valid driver's license and transportation to regularly travel between work sites. Must have an acceptable driving record at time of appointment and throughout employment.

Salary & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $73,700.00 - $90,280.00 annually dependent on qualifications and professional experience. The complete salary range for this position is $73,700.00?- $106,862.84 annually. Performance based merit increase opportunities and COLAs are reviewed on an annual basis. After initial onboarding, this role will have the opportunity to work remotely up to 40% in accordance with the KCHA's flexible work arrangements; however, remote work conditions will be reviewed on a regular basis based on business and program need. Employees must reside in Washington State and having the ability to report to the Central Office in Tukwila will be required. Some local travel may be required to support KCHA business needs.
