We are looking for a talented Sales Engineer, who is responsible for supporting the technical and application aspects of the relationship with international offices as an efficient bidirectional conduit between international offices and internal resources. The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing sales proposals to international offices and customers and providing technical support throughout the sales process. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to inquiries and work closely with Technical Sales Manager, Engineering Department and Customer to perform technical clarifications and qualify opportunities.
  • Understand each project’s technical requirements and identify challenge areas; translate customer requirements into meaningful design inputs.
  • Work with the Proposal Engineering to provide equipment solutions to customer needs and develop a sales proposal by actively searching for optimized equipment design, validating cost information, and identifying technical compliance.
  • Ensure an in-depth understanding of each opportunity, the company, decision-makers, and company’s buying process while working with the Director of Sales to set sales and product strategies to maximize success and revenue.
  • Develop application expertise on the assigned product lines, and be responsible for application notes, technical write-ups, product presentations, etc.
  • Ensure all sales orders are set up with technical clarity and accuracy, allowing Engineering and Manufacturing maximum opportunity for success.
  • Monitor and report on competitive activities, including technology, products, etc., and provide feedback on customer and industry direction
  • Support international sales teams by providing technical consultation, application knowledge, product training, etc.
  • Manage customers’ requirements to translate them into design criteria by working with, engineering, manufacturing, and project management to achieve successful acceptance and high customer satisfaction.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned regions, including international offices, representatives, and customer accounts.
  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales administration or related field.
