Watercraft Operations Coordinator
This full-time, year-round position is responsible for providing team-based, full service marine operations for the Principals, including daily operations, maintenance, logistical planning, safety of multiple vessels, and serving as project manager. Maintaining a high level of client satisfaction is critical to the success of this position.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management:
- Manage assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion with the utmost attention to detail.
- Manage periodic and final deadlines with professionalism and an appropriate sense of urgency, without sacrificing quality.
- Effectively manage expectations and keep projects on schedule.
- Proactively provide periodic updates to supervisor.
- Work closely with the team as an active, “hands-on” team member.
- Work with and supervise external vendors and contractors to ensure a collaborative approach to successful project completion.
Watercraft Operations:
- Safely operate watercraft ranging in size, type, and complexity.
- Keep Principals’ and guests’ safety at the forefront at all times.
- Provision watercraft to the families preferences.
- Adjust navigation according to weather conditions.
- Dock and undock vessels.
Boat Maintenance:
- Perform basic systems and engine maintenance, change oil, replace components.
- Assist with building, finishing, and safety readiness of vessels.
- Provide general cleaning, polishing, painting, finishing, and detailing of vessels and facility.
Marina and Dock Maintenance:
- Assist with seasonal needs for winterization, spring readiness, deck surface cleaning and finishing, lighting, water supply and safety readiness.
- Conduct off-season repairs, restoration and readiness of pedestals, safety ladders, lines, cleats and all related dock needs.
Facilities Care and Maintenance:
- Assist with maintenance of boat storage facility, such as lighting, plumbing, HVAC, shop cleaning, tool organization, inventory and other related needs as they arise.
- Assist Property Managers with maintenance and project needs on all properties as directed.
- Operate forklift as needed.
Other:
- Ensure services are performed at the highest level of quality.
- Maintain a courteous and professional status with Principals and guests.
- Efficiently communicate with other staff; attentively listen, ask questions, work well with others, and demonstrate a desire to be part of a team.
- Train other staff members.
- Complete other projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant industry experience required.
- Previous project management experience required.
- General knowledge and skill level in certain trades, such as mechanicals, HVAC, plumbing, repair, building/carpentry, painting, etc.
- Six-pack Captain’s license or 100-ton Inland Master Captain’s license required (or ability to obtain after hire).
- Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must wear required safety equipment provided by the employer.
- Travel required, including international; passport required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Forklift operator license required (or ability to obtain after hire).
- Requires working weekend and holiday shifts as needed.
- Some work is performed in and near water; strong swimming skills required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work at a physically demanding pace.
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet.
- Ability to remain standing for lengthy periods of time; climb steps and stairs; stoop, bend, and kneel; push/pull.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at high heights.
- Ability to load and unload equipment and supplies.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
