Instructional Design Intern

Position Overview:
The Lanterman Group (TLG) is seeking a motivated and creative Instructional Design Intern to support our efforts in transforming existing instructor-led training (ILT) courses into engaging digital learning assets. This internship offers hands-on experience in instructional design, leveraging tools like Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline to create high-quality eLearning courses focused on additive manufacturing. You will gain practical experience in course design, development, and Learning Management System (LMS) integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the instructional design team to adapt ILT content for digital learning formats.
  • Assist in developing interactive and engaging eLearning courses using Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline.
  • Support the implementation of TLG’s learning strategy by creating modular, user-friendly online learning assets.
  • Test and troubleshoot eLearning courses for functionality, usability, and accessibility before LMS integration.
  • Assist in integrating developed courses with TLG’s LMS and ensure proper functionality.
  • Participate in reviewing and refining content to maintain consistency and instructional quality.
  • Research and propose innovative ideas to enhance eLearning experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Rise 360, Articulate Storyline, or other eLearning tools (experience is a plus but not required).
  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in technical training or additive manufacturing (preferred but not required).
