Life Services Alternatives, Inc. (LSA) is a California non-profit Corporation serving persons with developmental disabilities. Our Mission is: “to provide exceptional community living and programs for adults with developmental disabilities.” LSA currently serves homes under license from the Department of Social Services.
LSA operates in Santa Clara County, CA.
POSITION: Marketing and Outreach Intern
WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday, as scheduled with your manager 20-30 hours a week
REPORTS TO: Marketing & Communications Manager
FLSA & STATUS: Non-exempt, hourly, Per-Diem
Job description:
The Marketing and Outreach Intern provides support to the marketing team by completing tasks associated with
fundamental marketing practices.
● Assist in planning and executing events and webinars
● Coordinate external and internal communications and meetings
● Assist with management across all social media platforms, including engagement with followers, maintaining
posting schedule, writing and curating posts, etc.
● Assist with writing and proofreading for blogs, email blasts, newsletters, social media content, etc.
● Assistance with special projects and brainstorming and ideation capabilities
● Assistance with data entry and database maintenance
● Other assignments as assigned
Qualifications:
1. Current college student or recent graduate preferred
2. Time management and follow-up skills with ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a workload and handle several
tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
3. Ability to prioritize attention to detail and communicate cross-functionally across teams and departments
4. The ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively and give and accept feedback effectively
5. Excellent written and communications skills
6. A high energy level, adaptability, patience and ability to work in a team environment
7. Proficient in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Linkedin
8. Competence in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Calendar
9. Be a U.S. citizen or alien authorized to work in the U.S. with legal documentation
Additional Requirements
o This position is a mandated reporter, and is required to observe all consumers rights, report unusual occurrences as specified in Title 22, California Code of Regulations
o May hold a valid California driver’s license, auto insurance and a good driving record, and may require and
undergo fingerprint and criminal record check, and provide results of health screening and TB testing
o Must have proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Working Environment
This paid position is a hybrid position (in-person and virtual). You will need to be able to come into the LSA office in Campbell, CA. You must have access to reliable internet connection and a working computer or laptop. Risk/Safety Conditions, Essential Physical Activities to include: walking, sitting, hearing, seeing up close, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions. Maintains sufficient strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this job description.
