SIFMA is currently looking for a Washington D.C. intern. The Washington D.C. internship experience offers students the opportunity to learn how SIFMA formulates, analyzes, and supports public policy positions in the interests of its members. Throughout the program, the intern will work closely with the Advocacy Group and Associates in Research, Legal and Capital Markets. They will be assigned specific projects, to be completed by the program’s end and for which they will receive authorship credits. The selected intern will participate in the program for pay or school credit.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or Juris Doctorate; Finance or Public Policy coursework highly desirable.  
  • Demonstration of excellent clerical, organizational, time management and written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Technical skills including a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with database use and functionality. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks/workload. 
  • Demonstrates professional demeanor. 
  • Commitment to provide superior customer service with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients. 
  • Shows work effectiveness, persistency and commitment. 
  • Ability to work part-time hours.
