SIP 2025 - Police Accountability Team Intern (Off Campus) at City of Cleveland, The Mayor's Police Accountability Team

The Mayor’s Police Accountability Team (“PAT”) works to facilitate an objective and thorough review process of the Consent Decree and assist with its implementation. The goal is to achieve successful compliance, continuous review, and collaboration with CDP. Objectives will include policy review, updates, audits, and critical data analysis to capture results and make recommendations for appropriate modifications to ensure best practices going forward, post Consent Decree. The PAT is looking for interns that can provide support to the work of the team.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

Under to supervision of the Executive Director of the Police Accountability Team, interns will have an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of local government, hear from leadership, and experience the day-to-day operations of the PAT while supporting and assisting its staff. Interns are expected to commit to approximately ten (10) hours per week for the semester/summer. The intern will be privy to confidential and privileged information and therefore must maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
