About the Job
We are seeking a candidate for an Illustration-Motion Graphics Associate Art Director position.
The ideal candidate will have excellent drawing, sketching, composition, and retouching skills. Knowledge of 2D Animation and Photoshop is key. A passion for children’s book illustration is a plus. This is a hybrid position.
Qualifications
- Expertise with Macintosh-based graphics programs, specifically Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Photoshop.
- Understand 2D motion graphics design and production process
- Open to learning audio editing skills
- Passion for visual design and illustration
- Effective communication skills
- Positive attitude and motivation to deliver the highest quality assets
- Effective project management skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to strategically think and problem-solve
- Must be poised, professional, and collaborative with team members and leaders
- Ability to work independently and effectively with colleagues, both in-person and virtually
- BA degree in Animation, Illustration, Design, or Art Direction
Responsibilities
- Convert one dimensional storybook art into simple moving animation
- Collaborate and brainstorm with team to understand, identify, and collect assets to creatively execute design goals
- Work with sound engineers for voice over and song content
- Work within established design guidelines and collaborate with team members to ensure quality and consistency across designs
- Deliver impactful animated stories with the utmost quality
- Prepare and present work to internal team
- Inspire and bring new ideas to the team through creative thought leadership
- Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Respond positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
