SIP 2025 - JazzFest Production and Logistics Intern (Metro Campus) at Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland

Part of the School of Creative Arts, Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland is an educational festival with year-round programming that culminates in a three-day summer music festival that takes place at Playhouse Square. Nearly 500 artists perform indoors and outdoors playing jazz and other genres. Indoor concerts are ticketed and feature world-class musicians in Playhouse Square's historic theaters. All outdoor entertainment is free.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

Responsibilities

  •  Assemble production notebooks and advance artist information packets for the JazzFest and other Performing Arts Events
  •  Collect, produce and inventory signage used to organize event production
  • Organize and load van with materials used in event production
  • Assist with the setup of Mainstage, backstage, offstage festival and event areas and dissemination of event information to functional parties. 
  • Other festival production and logistics tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to identify and setup audio/lighting/video gear and musician backline
  •  Interest in behind the scenes production planning 
  • Extremely organized with good follow through
  • Can stand / work extended length events
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Punctual with reliable transportation to and from work on campus and venues through out the Cuyahoga County area
  • Recording Arts, Music, Music Business,Theater or related Major 
  • Prior experience in event planning and management
  • Flexibility and good customer service skills
  • Strong Computer Skills - ability to edit pdf's, work in Excel and Microsoft office, as well as learn new software platforms easily.
  • Available to work extended schedule during festival week

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
