Housing Rights Initiative, a national housing watchdog organization, is looking for motivated interns to assist with research and outreach for an ongoing project this upcoming winter/spring.

Research Intern:
Housing Rights Initiative (HRI) is an advocacy organization dedicated to fighting fraudulent real estate practices, promoting fair housing, and connecting tenants to legal support.
HRI’s successful investigations into and class action lawsuits against the real estate company Kushner Companies were featured in Season 2 Episode 3 of the Netflix documentary Dirty Money. Housing Rights Initiative’s work has also been profiled by the New York Times.
HRI is looking for interns to assist our organization in research and outreach. Interns would need to be comfortable doing investigative research, communicating over the phone and through email, and working closely with their assigned team. Those who are interested in social and housing justice will be able to expand their knowledge on housing practices nationally. No prior experience in housing necessary.
Interns will be working remotely or out of one of our satellite offices (if preferred).
REQUIREMENTS:

- Excellent communication skills:
- Passion for housing justice;
- Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with others.
