SIP 2025 - Community Relations Board- Street Outreach Intern (Off Campus) at City of Cleveland

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Intern to join our Community Relations/Youth Diversion team at City of Cleveland. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in community engagement and juvenile justice youth diversion allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a professional setting while learning new skills. As an intern, you will support various projects and initiatives, work closely with team members, and gain insight into the day-to-day operations of our department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with graphic designing brochures and flyers.
- Support team members in the completion of ongoing projects, contributing by performing data entry.
- Help prepare a volunteer database.
- Participate in team meetings, providing input and collaborating with colleagues on project progress.
- Manage and update databases, spreadsheets, and other organizational tools.
- Assist in updating the website.
- Provide general administrative support, including organizing files, scheduling meetings, and coordinating events or tasks as needed.
- Shadow team members to gain exposure to different aspects of the department’s operations.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university or college (e.g., undergraduate or graduate student).
Strong interest in graphic arts, community engagement, or criminal justice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or relevant software tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a professional work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with Canva or other design sites.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
