OPENING: GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING INTERN

Civil Solutions Group (CSG) is a civil engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture firm located in Providence, Utah. CSG focuses on sustainable engineering and planning practices. 

Description:

CSG is seeking one qualified geotechnical engineering intern to join our team. This is a technician position involving field and office work. The position will likely be full-time in the summer and part time during the school year (15-20 hours). Compensation will be commensurate with experience. 

Responsibilities

·      Help drill and observe test pits

·      Soil logging and sampling

·      Help write reports and memos

·      Learning project management skills

Requirements:

CSG is looking for a student with studies focused in geotechnical engineering. The candidate must be self-motivated and willing to work hard. It would be beneficial to have large blocks of time to be able to complete field work. The candidate shall have good verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work within a team setting. It is preferred, but not a pre-requisite that the candidate have experience with PDF software, Word, and Excel. The ability to lift up to 75lbs in the field is required.
