About these Opportunities: 7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for Summer Internships.  Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (10-12 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders.  Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership.  The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Learn how to create a feature or capability through the product management framework and discipline.
  • Be given a specific problem statement and be able todo research, come up with several options on how to solve the problem, then work with design and engineering to figure out how to make that idea come to life.
  • Learn how to create a feature from conception to execution for digital app and grow engagement.
  • Formulates, tests and refines assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing, Identifies and considers pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements, Creates, documents, and posts product artifacts to centralized repositories.

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree (Bachelors or Master’s) in Data Science, Data Analytics, Digital Product Management or related field 
  • Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with a variety of mobile platforms (iPhone, Android, HTML5) preferred.
