Business Development Intern

Pelican Engineering seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to support our team. The intern will assist in identifying potential business opportunities, conducting lead research, preparing lead lists, and engaging in initial outreach activities. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business development, sales, and marketing within a high-tech industry and support local manufacturing.

This is a compensated position at $14/hr.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Research potential leads and compile lead lists based on industry criteria
• Create and maintain entries in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting and sending initial outreach communications
• Support marketing efforts, including social media management and content creation
• Analyze and report on outreach effectiveness

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Interest in emerging technologies and U.S. manufacturing
