Job Description:  

This position communicates with all MaineDOT Programs and offices, as well as other agencies in State Government providing training to MaineDOT Programs and offices.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Generating reports to provide information to the Contracts Engineer, Director of Civil Rights and Maine DOL
• Training and coaching technical and semi-skilled personnel,
• Assists with awarding contracts and prequalifying contractors,
• Ensuring tasks of others, and their assigned tasks meet schedules to conform to established procedures and guidelines.

This Technician position functions as a team with the Contracts Engineer and positively interacts with staff at all levels of the department and with the public such as contractors and subcontractors.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Five (5) years of experience in engineering –OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.
