Position Title: Soulful Girls Workshop Mentor
Location: The Soul Project Studio, 484 Bedford Street, East Bridgewater, MA
Commitment: Bi-monthly workshops on Sunday afternoons, plus additional prep and clean-up time
Compensation: Paid position

About Us:
The Soul Project’s Soulful Girls program creates brave spaces for girls to embrace their innate worth, discover their true potential, and develop the tools needed to thrive. Through workshops focusing on creativity, wellness, and empowerment, we help girls become more self-aware, resilient, and confident in who they are.

We are looking for enthusiastic and empathetic individuals to join our team as Soulful Girls Workshop Mentors. This role offers an opportunity to lead impactful workshops, inspire young girls, and contribute to creating a supportive and empowering community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead bi-monthly workshops for girls aged 7–11, fostering a fun and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with teen volunteers to ensure workshops run smoothly and effectively.
  • Plan and execute workshop activities, including themes, lessons, and crafts that align with the program's goals of emotional enrichment and empowerment.
  • Arrive 15–30 minutes early for set-up and stay 15 minutes after for clean-up.
  • Build meaningful connections with participants, creating a safe space for learning and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Creativity: A knack for developing engaging and meaningful activities.
  • Enthusiasm: High energy and a positive attitude to inspire and motivate participants.
  • Empathy: Patience and understanding to support young girls in a nurturing way.
  • Experience working with children or teens is preferred.
  • Leadership experience, whether through school, work, or volunteer roles, is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
