SIP 2025 - Nonprofit Communications Specialist Intern (REMOTE) at Reaching Heights

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

Reaching Heights is looking for a highly motivated and creative intern to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with content creation for various communication channels, including press releases, website copy, and social media posts.
- Conduct research and gather information to support the development of communication materials.
- Monitor social media trends and engage with our audience online.
- Assist with planning and executing communication campaigns.
- Support with event logistics and media outreach (as applicable).
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Teams, Google Workplace, Canva, Wix, Squarespace
- Experience with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
Note: International students are eligible for employment with on-campus/ internal Tri-C departments only.
