Job Summary

The Test Automation Analyst II, Quality Assurance demonstrates their software testing and requirements experience to assure the Avantas proprietary HELM (Healthcare Enterprise Labor Management) functions within our software-as-as-Service, Smart Square. This position's responsibilities is to build and implement test plans and procedures and chip in to research and functional requirements initiatives as assigned.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains detailed functional and load test scenarios within an Agile development environment.
  • Drives the execution of test cases, including conducting actual testing activities and coordinating the efforts of other testers.
  • Builds and maintains an automated platform for a web-based software solution in multiple environments.
  • Maintains a repository of testing cases used in regression testing of the software.
  • Defines and supervises quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
  • Uses whitebox, blackbox, smoke testing, regression testing and other analytic procedures to verify the software development cycle and quality for the end user client.
  • Uses functional specification, workflow diagrams, target to source spreadsheets and data flow diagrams to develop testing documents.
  • Drives the testing and release process as part of overall software project plans with cross-functional development, training, and release teams.
  • Contributes to market research, functional requirements, and other software development initiatives as needed.
  • Applies product knowledge to contribute subject matter expertise and support to internal and external users.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree | Preferred or Commensurate Work Experience

 

Minimum Work Experience

  • 3+ years of recent experience in QA Automation.
  • Experience in PL/SQL, TypeScript, Java and Automation.
  • Experience with developing and performing quality assurance test scripts, test plans, and checklists.
  • Experience with programs similar to Selenium, Xray for Jira, Playwright, or similar Test Case Repository tools and automated platforms.
  • Experience in functional testing, regression testing, black-box testing, smoke testing, performance testing, etc.

 

Key Skills

  • Proficiency in programming languages.
  • Experience in manual testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile & DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent reporting, time management, analytical & communication capabilities.

 

Work Environment

  • Job is typically performed in a general office environment.

Pay Rate

$66,500 - $79,000 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
