Residential Aide Manager
Job Summary
The Residential Aide Manager supervises and oversees the residential aide (RA) team.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervision and Team Management:
- Oversee the residential aide team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure consistent delivery of quality care.
Direct Client Support:
- Develop and maintain a compassionate and empathetic rapport with clients, providing emotional support throughout their recovery journey.
- Assist clients with their daily activities, including hygiene routines, meals, and recreational activities.
- Encourage and promote clients' participation in therapeutic programs and support group sessions.
Safety and Security:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for both clients and staff, adhering to facility policies and protocols.
- Monitor clients' behaviors and activities, promptly addressing any safety concerns or potential risks.
Crisis Intervention and Conflict Resolution:
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate potential conflicts or challenging situations that may arise among clients.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to create personalized crisis intervention plans for individual clients.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain thorough and accurate client records, documenting progress, incidents, and any relevant information.
- Keep daily logs, incident reports, and other required documentation up to date.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate effective communication between the residential aide team, counselors, therapists, and medical staff to ensure cohesive client care.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and observations to support comprehensive treatment planning.
Support Group Facilitation:
- Assist in organizing and facilitating support group sessions, promoting engagement and fostering a sense of community among clients.
Facility Operations:
- Collaborate with the facility management to ensure smooth daily operations, including inventory management and ordering necessary supplies.
Compliance and Ethical Conduct:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, ethical standards, and facility policies related to client care and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, adhering to ethical guidelines in all interactions with clients and staff.
Client Progress Tracking:
- Participate in client assessments and progress tracking, providing valuable input to the clinical team to aid in treatment planning and goal setting.
Other:
- Perform other functions related to the position as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Additional training or certifications in substance use disorder counseling, psychology, or related fields are preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a substance use disorder rehabilitation facility or a similar healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is an advantage.

- Effective problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure situations, to address challenges and crises that may arise during the rehabilitation process.
- The ability to think quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.
Ethical Conduct:
- High level of integrity and adherence to ethical standards, respecting client confidentiality and privacy.
- Compliance with the facility's code of conduct and policies.
Team Player:
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Willingness to assist fellow team members and support the facility's mission.
*In addition to the above duties, the Residential Aide Manager also:
- Acts as Director of Residential Services (DRS) during DRS absence.
- Reports any staff performance issues to DRS and assists in developing and delivering performance improvement plans/training.
- Assists DRS in developing initial staff training and professional development materials and presentations.
- Models appropriate interactions with clients as a learning resource for RA staff Is the primary presenter for new client orientation.
- Reviews all shift reports to ensure significant events/behaviors are being communicated and addressed within RA staff and to clinical team as needed.

Job Type: Full-time, direct care position, some holidays and weekends, on call during week and evenings
