Social Media Intern

We are looking for a creative and trend-aware Social Media Intern to join our team on a part-time basis at our Mahwah, NJ corporate office. As a Social Media Intern, you will be key in helping our brand stay current and engaging on social platforms. You’ll be responsible for shooting and editing mobile-friendly video content on-site, staying on top of social media trends, advising on pop culture moments relevant to the brand, and bringing fresh ideas to help grow our brand presence. Proficiency in CapCut or similar editing apps is required, along with a strong sense of what’s trending across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep a close eye on current social media trends, hashtags, pop culture moments, and popular challenges to help develop relevant and engaging content.
  • Shoot, edit, and produce on-the-go, short-form video content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts using your mobile device.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on creative content ideas aligned with our brand’s voice and goals.
  • Use CapCut and other mobile editing tools to create visually engaging video content.
  • Support with follower engagement and assist in responding to comments and messages as needed.
  • Track content performance and report insights to optimize future content and audience engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms, with an understanding of what content resonates on each.
  • Skilled at shooting and editing short-form video directly on a mobile device.
  • Proficient with CapCut or similar mobile editing apps.
  • Strong interest in storytelling and creating visually engaging content.
  • A motivated self-starter able to work independently and bring innovative ideas to life.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in content creation or social media (through internships, projects, or personal content).
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics to help assess content performance.

This position is based on-site at our Mahwah, NJ office, with a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours a week. The role offers flexibility within business hours to accommodate class or other work commitments. Please submit examples of your work along with your resume.
