Private Equity Intern

The private equity intern will directly support Glendora Capital (www.glendoracapital.com) on a variety of tasks and projects that builds the organization’s reach and presence through mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Glendora Capital is led by an experienced team made up of an investment bankers and industry veterans. Glendora is looking to grow and expand its reach through M&A in various industries including Food Production, Manufacturing, Health Care, IT Management, FinTech, and Security Monitoring.
Primary Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is driven to build a career in M&A and dealmaking. The Analyst should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a motivated self-starter. As an integral part of the Corporate Development team, the Intern will learn from seasoned professionals while putting their stamp on each deal. No day will be the same as the previous, however the Intern can expect to play a part organizing the group’s deal origination effort, evaluating and modeling prospective deals, and seeing transactions through the ultimate closures. The position will report directly to the Managing Partners and will interact heavily with the entire Corporate Development team. Experience with investment banking or private equity is a plus, but not necessary.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- In office and/or Remote internship
- Hours may vary pending intern’s availability and to be arranged between intern and mentor.
- Opportunity for credit depending on University / College degree program requirements.
- Pursuing or recent college degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, CIS, Engineering, or other related fields.
- Skill sets required: dependable, thorough, attentive to detail, robust business acumen, financial analysis, writing and communication skills; knowledge or experience creating pitch decks and deal sourcing; demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently.
- Previous internship or project experience work in related field (investment banking, venture capital, private equity, wealth management, equity research, corporate development) preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interest in M&A, finance, accounting and business strategy
- Good fundamental understanding of financial statements
- Must be highly proficient in English and have a good fundamental understanding of financial statements as this position will often ask you to edit and communicate effectively with potential investors.
- Should have financial analysis skills and the ability to judge and critique your own writing.
- Should have proven skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel.
- Should have significant deal making experience, especially with sourcing and financial analysis.
- Should be willing to compile reports and assemble pitch decks for investors.
Position Summary
- Organize the prospective deal pipeline and support the pre-offer evaluation effort
- Develop financial models to evaluate specific opportunities and support confirmatory due diligence process
- Communicate with sellers to ensure due diligence requests are satisfied
- Develop offer letters for prospective deals, adjusting terms based on the specific deal needs
- Provide support to our deal-leads, Managing Partners, as they take deals from offer stage to closure
- Work with other Glendora Capital's functional departments, including the integration team to drive cross-dependencies
- Occasionally provide support to the executive team including developing presentations to Glendora Capital's Managing Partners, materials for our investors and lenders, and presentations to support the Company’s M&A initiative
