Internship - DFPS Child Protective Services

Learn and understand how the Department of Family and Protective Services partners with families and communities to address child abuse and neglect by practicing in a way that ensures safety, permanency, and wellbeing for the children and youth we serve. Observe interviews with involved case contacts, attend court hearings, case staff meetings, and placement visits. Assist caseworkers with observations and case related tasks. Obtain and share knowledge on community resources. Work with the agency and community to ensure the best outcomes for children, youth, and families. Perform other duties as assigned and required to maintain unit or program operations.
