Scientist/Engineer - HPM/Antenna/Plasma/Accelerator

Science, Engineering, Management Solutions, LLC is a small business located in Albuquerque, NM. We are made up of skilled scientists, engineers and technicians that specialize in directed energy and pulsed power systems.  

We are looking for a full-time physicist to assist us with several small Department of Defense projects. The candidate must be self-motivated and professional. The candidate must also possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Duties will include:

·        Working with other scientists, engineers, technicians, and program managers to develop the next generation of High Power Microwave (HPM) sources.

·        Using particle-in-cell simulation codes to design and predict performance of HPM sources.

·        Using pulsed power SPICE models as inputs into particle-in-cell simulation codes.

·        Presenting work at design reviews and conferences.

·        Writing reports to describe simulation results.

·        Comparing simulation results to experimental results.

Required Qualifications:

·        B.S. in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering or related field.

·        Experience working on computer clusters.

·        This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

·        Active Security Clearance is required.

·        Experience working in a research, development, or prototyping environment

Desired Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

·        M.S. or Ph.D in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or related field.
