Systems Engineer

Science, Engineering, Management Solutions (Sem-Sol) is a small business located in Albuquerque that specializes in the development of pulsed power, high power microwave, and charge particle beam technology. Founded in 2018, we have grown to over 35 employees and over $5M per year revenue in 2021. Highly skilled engineers, scientists, and program managers are the core of our company.

 

Our technology is maturing from laboratory development and prototype demonstrations to higher technical readiness levels.  Although we have formalized engineering processes, we are looking for a system engineer to help us integrate into larger systems and translate our capabilities into language more easily understood by the Department of Defense community.  

Duties will include:

·        Interacting with the Department of Defense and large aerospace companies.

·        Working with the chief engineer and program managers of several projects.

·        Being responsible for the requirements generation, analysis, decomposition, and review with customers.

·        Generating and maintaining interface control documents, validation and verification plans, and test plans.

·        Formalizing the system engineering approach and tools to be used at Sem-Sol.

Required Qualifications:

·        Ability to effectively work on multiple tasks with changing priorities.

·        This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

·        Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

·        Advanced degree in Physics, Engineering, or Math

·        Degree or certification in systems engineering.
