Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs. Design, develop, test, source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Organize and lead continuous improvement initiatives and trainings.

Required Education

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related industry.
  • A 2-year degree with demonstrated hands-on manufacturing experience will also be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in all aspects of safety and demonstrate the fundamental understanding that safety comes first.
  • Ability to apply lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in verbal and written form.
  • Strong work ethic and positive work attitude.
  • Ability to work on one project or several projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
