Sustainability, Economics and Ethics Research Assistant
As a Research Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects and gain valuable experience in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment. Your detailed missions will be discussed during your interview with your supervisor. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Literature Review and Research Synthesis:
Conduct literature reviews on topics related to sustainable development, social inequalities, and ecological economics.
Synthesize research findings to inform ongoing projects and contribute to the development of new research initiatives.
Data Collection and Analysis:
Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to structural transformation and sustainable development in China.
Contribute to population medicine and health economics research through data analysis and interpretation.
Policy Analysis:
Participate in the analysis of policies related to the Sustainable Development Agenda and Leaving No One Behind.
Explore the impact of policy decisions on human development, social polarization, and the rejection of the poor.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Engage with researchers and experts from various fields, fostering a collaborative and inclusive research environment.
Contribute to discussions and seminars on topics such as human rights, political philosophy, and bioethics.
Communication and Outreach:
Assist in preparing research reports, articles, and presentations for internal and external dissemination.
Contribute to the Center's outreach efforts through social media, blog posts, and other communication channels.
Qualifications:
Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and writing abilities.
Demonstrated interest in sustainable development, social justice, and related fields.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team.

Research Center focused on the following topics: Sustainable Development Agenda and Leaving No One Behind. Ecological Economics and Political Ecology. The rejection of the poor, social inequalities, polarization, human development and capabilities. Structural transformation and sustainable development in China. Population medicine and health economics. Human Rights, Political Philosophy, and Religion. Bioethics, Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility.
On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance.
Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.
