Student Activities Funding Board - Director of Outreach

Description:

The Student Activities Funding Board (SAFB) Director of Outreach is responsible for maintaining strong communication between SAFB and all active student organizations at Oakland University. They will maintain contact with student leaders to connect them with opportunities for funding. This individual may also serve as a collaborator on Oakland University Student Congress (OUSC) initiatives that involve student organization participation.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing all budget requests in a timely manner

Must be or become knowledgeable of all SAFB Rules and Regulations

Must attend weekly Board meetings as a voting member

Should attend weekly OUSC General Body meetings as possible

Must maintain contact and build relationships with student organizations and student leaders

Responsible for educating student organizations on SAFB rules and regulations

Communicating with the rest of SAFB the thoughts and concerns of student organizations relating to funding

Promote student engagement on campus

Working with the Co-Chair or other applicable parties to promote SAFB-funded events

Collaborate with appropriate Board members to create regular communications between SAFB and student organizations

Regularly attend and audit (in collaboration with the Director of Audits) SAFB-funded events
